I really would like some highway pegs, but I'm unsure of how to accomplish this. Some pics would be nice
But do they do the job?More shitty pegs on a Hepco Becker
Hi DamMechanic - is that the same waterfall at the beginning of the MABDR you are parked?More shitty pegs on a Hepco Becker
That gas tank makes me smile. The pegs I found that allowed mounting with less than perfect angles are the Kuryakyn Long Horns. You have to find them with the correct diameter clamps for your crash bars. Mine are 1" and most are packaged with 1 1/4" clamps for HDs. You can buy just parts and use what ever HD style pegs you want, Not particularly cheap, but does the job and folds up if I drop it. I did have them mounted more outboard and broke one crossing a ditch when I mis-judged and tipped over.

LineX extreme. 8.2 Gal. Local welder did the expansion.Looks like Rhino Liner. Cool!

...and does you gas gauge work ?LineX extreme. 8.2 Gal. Local welder did the expansion.
Thanks, I saw that thread. Working on the seat right now. Decided to get a Russell DL so maybe I'll save up and do that one day.I had the tank made when I was living in St George, UT. Stark Welding. Welding/fabrication cost was $600. Total cost for tank, welding, cleaning, LineX coating was a bit over $1000.
No coatings on the inside. No leaks. Gas gauge works normally. Difference is that it reads full for the first 160-200 miles. Normal is 160ish, but the other day running 50mph w/CC set on the Natchez Trace I saw just over 200 miles when it dropped off full. 300 miles w/o reserve. Consistent 350 if needed.
I used to use a custom 4.8 gal fuel cell. I no longer need that much range and to simplify fuel stops when riding with my wife this meets my needs. (She rides a GSA)
If there is interest,, I'll start another thread to detail the tank work and process. There was one before, but I can no longer find that with the current forum generation.
