I just changed the mounting point of my highway pegs on my Hepco Becker skid plate and now they make for the most comfortable riding position ever on a bike. I don’t like them too high or too far forward because it puts too much pressure on the lower back (and I don’t want to feel like I am going to the gynecologist).
I can put my feet on top of them or just lean against them to stretch my legs without touching the road (36” inseam).

I'm copying that, bnschroder! I too have a 36" inseam and find that trying to get my legs forward means having your legs spread too far apart. It just feels wrong! Now I have my Heed crash bars I have been scratching my head over mounting highway pegs on those. I never even considered the bash plate. Thanks for the tip!

I considered that position on my bike, almost even drilled mounting holes in my ACD skid plate to try it before I decided I didn't one more object down low to whack into rocks and ruts. I ended up mounting on the forward bar of the altrider crash bars.

those pegs look like they’re bolted directly to the bash plate. Is there any flex with the plate?
They are bolted through existing holes on the ACD plate. I rest my feet on them, so not much need to push hard against them. There is a bit of flex as the plate is aluminum, but I like it because I can really stretch my legs on long runs. They are Rivco folding adjustable isolation pegs from Amazon $60.

Check out Trex Racing they make some nice highway pegs.
Finally got pics of my TRex highway pegs. Very well made and arms are adjustable 360 degrees. They also come with short and long arms (short arms shown). These are mounted on T Rex crash bars and should fit any crash bars because of the long and short arms. They are also available in 7/8 or 1” diameter depending of the size of your crash bars.
