As for the grips I have gone to "Plan B." This highly classified project will involve stealth bombers, a small paramilitary group, beer and hookers. I can't legally say much more, but will let you know my results.
Agent Super10, I've carried a top secret clearance since 1984. If you are looking for tech support with bombs and guns you found your man....Will work for beer and hookers, no problemo!

Good to hear I have a man on the inside, As for guns, I usually only carry two around

Btw I saw your request for the ES OHM reading I can get you one off of mine as it has the same plugs.

I just got a set of the factory grips for the '14 Super T and will be trying to install them tomorrow. If it's still a concern, I will get the resistance values of the two grips and post up.

Just got done installing the OEM heated grips on the bike. Took me about 1.5 hrs watching Rudy on TV and screwing around. Install on a '14 is VERY straight forward. Both left and right grips had the same resistance of 1.5 Ohms. Plugged them in, turned the bike on (had to start it), and had instant heat with the controls working through the display. Very happy about how if fit, but for the cost, it better be nicely integrated. Hopefully these give a long service life. The rubber is slightly different than the stock, non-heated grips. On with the pics.

Measure the resistance... Both came in at 1.5 Ohms:

Left side is easy. Compressed air and a small screw driver to get the old grip off, hair spray to glue the new one on. Route the wires down with the rest and secure with a few zip ties. About 15 minutes max.

Grip wire is the one with the blue tag:

The right side was a little harder, just because of the routing of the wires on the throttle tube, and mostly went slow trying to grease everything well to make sure there wasn't any binding. It calls for "silicone grease", but hopefully general purpose will work. It feels fine, but I'll have to remember to go back in and verify/re-lube at some point in the spring. Other than that, just takes a while only having two hands. Here are the instructions, since my pictures didn't come out well:

The hole in the stock throttle tube brace for the grip wire to come out and the new assembly. It has a rubber plug in there from the factory. You can see the two chambers, one for the throttle wire going out the top, and one for the grip wire going out the bottom:
