Sorry, EE. I meant to say 17.5, meaning $17,500, which is a mistake, I think, as I recall it was $16,500. Jeeze. Gettin' old ain't a lot of fun. In Canada, the three year warranty is included in the price. Sorry for the confusion. That would be due to the fact that I'm confused. ::025:: ::025:: R

No worries. It makes sense now... yeah, MSRP is $16,499. Excellent on the warranty as well!

The 3 year warranty is a nice touch by Yamaha. I think recognizing the price discrepancy was a bit rude to the Canadian buyer, they threw in the warranty which will basically cost them next to nothing, but could be worth a great deal to us should something crap out in year two or three. I like the idea of having it. Our dealer also threw in the PDI and the first service. So all in all, I didn't fare to badly. As far as I know, the 3 year warranty does not have a mileage cap on it. For what it's worth, BMW's 3yr warranty is unlimited mileage as well. I did have to use it in my second year of ownership due to a leaking oil pan gasket, so it was great to have it. Unfortunately, I wrote the bike off at the end of last summer, hence the reason why I'm looking at the S10 now.

I wasn't sure about the 3 year warranty in Canada, today I went to the dealer to find out that I only have 1 year (I didn't preorder), apparently you got 3 years if you were on the waiting list in 2011 and put a $500.00 deposit (first buyers).

Can we exchange some parts if mine crap out in year 2 or 3? ;D

How old are you? My parts are all pretty well crapped out now. I'd be glad to swap a few with a younger guy. R ::012:: ::012::

I'm only 20 years younger than you. Wisdom and humour obviously come with age. It shows on your posts.

Oh, and about my parts, I do have some that can be swapped if you're into titanium and carbon fibre. ::014::
