Title says it all. Well not all, actually I'd prefer it come with a boom mike. Thanks a lot for the time.

One of the best purchases ever! I've had mine over a year and what a difference it makes not being tethered to the bike. IMHO you should get customer fitted ear buds (EAR) to go along with the SENA for the best results.

Cheers!

Can you tell me more about the EAR buds? I have the Sena but believe that I would get better sound from somekind of earbuds.

Thanks

The EAR buds are great, I had them fitted at a local gun pro shop - you can access them on-line at www.earinc.com. What I like most is the ear protection from riding. The road and wind noise are diminished. The custom fit make them very comfortable, I have ridden many miles and repetitive days. The EAR combined with the SENA, Garmin, and IPOD make for a very enjoyable ride environment - again, not tethered to the bike.
Hope this helps!

Thanks Dan. I am a fan of earplugs and wear them all of the time theygreatly reduce fatigue when riding. I wasn't sure if what you wetre talking about was something wired into the ear buds.

Thanks for the recommendation Dan. If I don't find a set here I'll purchase them in the spring. I hear an updated SMH-20 is due out soon as well.

Have been using the SMH10 since shortly after it's release. Great little piece of kit - have one on mine and my wife's helmet - and they've been great. Had one warranty issue with my set which Sena handled painlessly and sent me a replacement, no questions asked.

I haven't been easy on them either, as a matter of fact I was going to Revzilla to buy a new one last night as a piece of plastic had broken off the clamp a few months ago exposing the internal electronics, (my fault, not Sena's) and I figured after nearly four years it was time for a replacement. The unit still works flawlessly (and have ridden it through heavy fog, rain, etc.) but I know it's just a matter of time before the elements win out.

That's when I saw the new SMH20 - I'm gonna try and nurse this one along for a couple more months until the 20 is available. Looks like a nice upgrade to an already solid and proven unit.

BTW I've always ridden with earplugs and can hear the audio from the Sena with zero issue. I often have music piped in and it sounds great, even at speed. I normally don't take phone calls while riding, but have a couple of times - the controls are intuitive and easy to manipulate even with heavy gloves on - and everyone I've talked to on the phone were surprised to learn that I was riding at speed during the conversation. The sound quality is that good.

I too really enjoy my SMH-10. I use regular ear plugs and the Sena in helmet speakers and it works great!
I just got a notification V5 firmware is out. I think I will be upgrading mine to the V5.... All sounds good to me.

I just updated mine and having side tones where you can hear yourself talk is a HUGE improvement. That is the one thing I always liked about the Autocom and now you can have it on the Sena as well as the ability to connect to another brand of bluetooth intercom. It's getting pretty close to perfect for me now!

Man, now I want one worse than ever. It's still freezing and unfortunately, snowing here so I'm not in a huge hurry (actually I don't mind the snow, I just got back from skiing with the family). I thought that when the 20 comes out people would want to upgrade and dump their current units. Again, please keep me posted if any of you want a quick easy sale.

I ordered a set of these: http://www.westoneaudio.com/index.php/products/custom-series/cr10.html should have them any day now.....

I had ordered a helmet clamp kit for earbuds from Sena and was using some JVC earbuds, but decided to go for the custom fitted ones from Westone.

I ordered a pair on Saturday. I didn't post it here as I was contemplating relisting them as they are the original version. After talking to a few friends that have them I've decided they will do everything that I need them to do. Thank you for contacting me about my WTB prior to listing it for sale. It figures I don't see anything for sale in over a month and when I decide to settle the one I really wanted comes up. I think I'll be alright with these though.
