I damaged my front fender in Baja - there is a big crack in it.

I will probably end up fixing it but if anyone is parting out a Super Tenere and has one for sale, I would be interested.

Thank you!

Picture for reference.

Hey 2aroundtheworld,

We are nearly neighbors. And I have even better news; in Grass Valley (to the west of us) is a gentleman who has a pretty good looking fender. It wouldn’t take much to have it repainted. His fender looks to have some surface scratches, but is not cracked.

Here is the link to the craigslist advertisement for the fender. I hope it helps:

Also, I found a clever way to temporarily repair my cracked front fender, and I could share that with you in a private message, if you’d like. Or I could show it to you over a cup of coffee… I live off Golden Valley in north Reno:).

Thanks for the link! I also just found one brand new for $130, but I am not entirely sure if it is the same color as my bike: DEEP PURPLISH BLUE METALLIC

Funny, I need one too. I patched a recent mud pack crack, but I must have tried to pass another rock and now I'm missing another chunk.Time for a new one. When I did the patch, the number was on the inside of the fender.

Just ordered one from RMATV. Backorder status, estimating ~3 weeks. $134 but free shipping.

I may call and see if I can get a black one sooner. A 2020 black is cheaper too.

I finally got delivery today from RMATV. About 2 months and ~$135. Good news, you can still get the 2012 OEM Blue. Bad news is you may wait for it to come on a slow boat from Japan. I repaired the old one with a cheap extender kit and will probably keep the new one on the shelf for now.

Thanks for the update. We are heading out back to Baja in 3 weeks to retrieve the bikes so I will need to come up with a fix for mine. I am thinking pop-rivets...

I have the exact fender you're looking for in like-new condition currently in use with an extender.

I have been considering painting the whole bike a different colour, so whatever my base is won't matter. If I can help a guy out of a pinch......

If it's easier for you to get a black one, maybe we could work out a trade.

Thanks - I will look again but I am pretty sure when I look before there wasn't really a price difference.

The crazy thing is that I now need 2 blue fenders...the other one broke too...

Funny! Tore up my patched one and put on the new one. One week and two more aggressive rides later it was missing a 1" chunk. Clearly, something was amiss. I finally figured out it, under full compression it was hitting the wolo horn mounted up high and centered by the previous owner. The brake crossover line would hit it forcing the rear of the fender into the tire, which then took a bite out of it. I moved the horn and cut and rounded the fender. It's about 1" short, but good enough for me.

I just looked at MRCycles for some other parts I need, but they charge you pretty significant shipping...
