Wrong screws came with SW Motech tank ring?

Trying to mount the SW Motech Tank Ring on my ST, and the screws that came with it all seem too long? In the pic the screw on left came off the bike, the other screws came with the kit. Even with the spacers the screws are too long. Any ideas?

Disregard. I’m an idiot lol. Got the tank ring installed, all is good!

I can’t say how long the screws need to be but, in the situation where the screws are too long, I’d just cut them down to the length they should be.
I’d get advice from others who’ve done this though before taking my advice

Hannibal figured it out .... good job.
I have used strap on tank bags for years , bought an expensive touratech bag ( 400.00 bag 5.00 strap system ) so I found away to convert the bag to a locking ring . took a drill and some caulking material and all is good . you will like the new set up .

Yes, plan was to cut screws, then realized I should probably spend a little more time figuring things out before hacking things up lol!
