Went on my first decent ride yesterday (300 colorado mtn miles). Got stuck in some traffic avout mile 200 for 10 minutes of serious stop and go. After that i noticed some really bad vibrations under moderate to large load at 2k-5k rpm. Stopped for about an hour and had some dinner. After that the vibes were back to "normal". Just did a throttle body sync that morning as well. '12 with 27xxx miles.

I would do the TB sync again, just in case, then if not improved open the side cover and have a peak of the clutch plates, or smell them for a burn odour

I'd check the sync again, I've had mine change on me.

Probably was on the very hot side on the oil n parts for that period. I had it worse for about 30 mins of Flintstone type leg powered movement when it is moving n stopped for long periods. Temps were in the 34 35 C. It probably took out 40% of the oil life.
