My wife just bought a new left over '13 bike. She isn't much on forums or tech stuff so I joined to help her out. Lots of stuff to learn for a new owner and this forum looks like it has a wealth of knowledge. ::012::

We are from Alaska and "snow bird" in AZ. She bought the bike in Surprise to ride down here (AZ). My wife works in Deadhorse 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. She had to leave for work the day she bought the bike and didn't get a chance to ride it yet. Being the good husband, I am breaking it in for her, so it will be done when she gets back. ;)

I ordered a bigger windshield, but am waiting for her return, so she can pick out other stuff herself. Right now I am researching crash bars, luggage and heated grips.

So what do you ride, or is your lady riding without you?

We are in Bouse, about 25 miles east of Parker on Hwy 72. Let us know if you are headed this way. Where is the best place to get the bike worked on?

We ride together. I have a Harley Ultra, TW 200 and a Time Out camper down here in AZ, ride a KLR 650 in AK. We enjoy traveling/camping. Her previous bike was a Rockster (BMW r1150r) that is for sale now.

She didn't buy the S 10 for it's dirt capabilities.....it fit her well and is a good touring bike.

::004:: From Zurich, I owned a white 80th Anniversary Rockster with blue fork legs and jugs, loved that bike, especially the way the headlight looked.

Thanks for the welcome. Her's is an edition 80 too. From what I understand there were 2,000 made and 200 in the US.

Welcome Roger,
I see that you found your way over here.
This is the best place for information for anything about the Tenere.

The only time my bike went to the dealer was for the early pump O-ring recall, and that was to Apache Motorcycles on Camelback in Phoenix. Other than that, I do my own work.

Congratulations and that's exactly why my wife also picked up a new leftover 2013.
