Hey guys/galls just wondering what the general consensus is ?
I don't normally say this but, there are some very good threads on crash bars and skid plates, and a search would show that.
If you want the very toughest crash bar, the Rumbux (sp) is the one.
And for the very best skid plate, www.rideonadv.com makes that.
There are others like the Altrider crash bar and skid plate, that are good also,,, and there are some, to stay away from.

Haven't tested the frame mounted skid plate but it covers everything. I have tested the Alt rider crash bars in a slow speed tip over in the mud and they worked. The skid plate is Jaxson's design.

I have many problems to understand, talk, read and write in english, but your question make me feel as a clown. The response for your question is "Don´t fall the bike" ::015::

If you are talking about bars for crash protection there are many, and serious people can suggest.
In my case I have "home made" crash bars. May be if you like to work and have enough knowledge you can do. Here you have some pictures of my crash bars to take some idea https://picasaweb.google.com/118082462844417583081/SuperTenereXT1200Z
Excuse me for the joke ::003::

The search tool is your best friend.... this subject has been dissected and discussed in great detail over the last year here on the forum. ::002::

I love ainsworth's comment "don't fall the bike" truth has been spoken.... ::012:: the reality is if you get out and have fun with this bike you will lay it on its side at some point. ::26:: ::26::

I can't improve on what japako, ainsworth and troll wrote. ::008::

Rumbux of south africa. Just got a set...worldwide delivery in a few days, great service, protects everything, frame mount for skid plate, beefy as a rhino (which you could take out riding with these bars).
