Hey everyone. I just got my Super Tenere here on Long Island... I will just leave it at that. Well I got it on Thursday but I didn't due much riding due to being sick and rain. The blue is fantastic looking. Although I think i saw a black one on the road and it looked nice also.

I have a question and I am not sure if it was covered already. If so my bad! I do not have a garage so this will be an outdoor beast mostly. I have a shed but its raised so it is a hassle to have to go in and out of it. Are there any good bike covers that are waterproof that would fit it well?

I don't think there is any single, best cover, but the breathable ones are water resistant within reason. The better ones are also UV resistant. I've had several different brands and it seems they start allowing a small amount of water after a couple of seasons of use.

As a alternative that is more durable, although more expensive, you might want to take a look at "Bike Barn" or "Cycle Shell" (no affiliation to me) which open and close over the bike like an accordian. If you get the large size of Bike Barn, you can actually get inside and work on your machine during inclement weather. Just a thought. I'd own one, but already don't have enough room to pile shoveled snow during the winter.

Congrats on getting the bike RandOmRider! Been looking for a cover here but haven’t landed on one yet. I just need one for travel. However, if you had room in that shed, seems that a folding motorcycle ramp of some sort might facilitate getting the bike in and out. Like those wide folding ramps for trailers or pickup trucks. Just a though. Again, congrats!

Howdy, neighbor. I've used the Dowco Guardian WeatherAll Plus covers over the years with good results. But I only use it on multi-day trips away from home. It's garaged otherwise.

If you're looking for more protection than a standard cover can offer the Cycle Shell might be worth a look. It's pricey though.

A buddy of mine has one and he's been storing his bike outside on his back patio for years with it.

Yeah, they get good reviews. Here's a linky to something along the same lines, called Bike Barn

I keep bikes outside during the summer...and we get some serious monsoon type weather.

I use a Nelson-Rigg Deluxe All-Season cover...even after a heavy rainfall, the bike is dry. Now, since it's outside in the summer months, I bought a cover more for sun and water-protection. BTW, I'm going to have to replace it after this season, it's starting to tear, so I'd say even with UV, the covers last maybe two years. There are plastic grommets on the bottom in the center of each side, that go over the pavement feelers on the pegs, which stretch out the cover, preventing water from puddling.

With that said, I don't know how well it would work in snow....

Thanks for the info. Ill have to look into these ideas. What size would you say the Tenere falls under for cover sizes? So far I've seen Sport, Cruiser and Touring.

I bought a XL size in the Guardian WeatherAll. This has room for luggage too.

Depends on your luggage and storage on or off the bike.

I have a L, and with the luggage installed (36L Pelican Storm on Hepco-Becker rack) the cover fits, but leaves the bottom half of the front disc brake exposed....so buying a new cover, I would go with XL.
