Good to find this forum. Excellent information and member response. I have had a 2005 KLR since 2006 and I enjoy it though have not ridden it offroad very much. Owned a DL1000 for a year and 20,000 miles sold it. Did not like the way the frontend felt even with mods. Stumbled across the S10 and liked it and the reviews. The other day I put a deposit on a new Impact Blue and it should arrive in May unless the tsunami affects the delivery. I have a NorCal, OR, ID, MT, WY, SD, ND, MT, ID, WA, OR, Home, trip planned for most of June. Looking forward learning more about the S10.

Welcome from Tampa, Tim.

If I counted right, that's an 11 state trip you have planned there. Wow! Hope you get to see some of the cool sites along the way. :)

Welcome, Tim. I'm about 30 miles down the road in Fairfield (about half the time). Sounds like a great trip you've planned! We'll have to hook up when you get back and swap stories. :)

Welcome Tim. Yeah, that sounds like a fun trip that you have planned. Just curious, what kind of gas mileage do you get on that KLR loaded down on a long road trip such as that? And what kind of range per tank? My son is currently looking to upgrade from his XT250 and has his eye on the KLR650.

Welcome Tim from SACRAMENTO! Saw you screen name and knew you were from here. Lots of Nor Cal people on the forum, enough for a serious group ride. Now TWO from Sacramento

Welcome Super Tenereian Tim,

If you hurry and go back to the dealer maybe you can still switch to Raven. For some reason my Tenereian Brothers believe Blue is Faster! But, there is an elite force of Raven Owners that believe otherwise. ;D

Hey Tim,

Carl here. You missed a another great KLR tech day in Julian yesterday. Weather was perfect, pie was awesome!

I have to tell you that if your expecting a delivery in May for a June trip, I wouldn't count on it. You need to catch up on the Delivery Dates thread. I'm not expecting mine till -- well, whenever it gets here!

Welcome to the forum! Man that is quite a maiden voyage you have planned! And I am a little envious as that is a very beautiful part of the US to explore. I have not seen much of NorCal aside from the area around Yosemite & Mammoth Lakes. That is a deficiency I hope to correct someday.

Wow, another Californian. Welcome from just to the south. Did you get a chance to see the bike when it passed through Sacramento? The bike was quite famous at the International MC Show a few months back. I missed out on the test rides though, I was bummed.
