I only have the bite-size shredded wheat for breakfast (with 1% milk) and I was able to get the shorter screws in.

OK, that tears it. That is an out and out affront to my masculinity and I'm not going to sit here and ....... hold on .... OK, wife says to get off my @$$ and get the dishes done ... I'll be back to finish this when .. you know, when I'm done .... R

WASPS adjuster is thee best mod I've purchased.
I simply love this wind manager
Bever and I did sweat to get it together, but it is fitted and it is quite the kit...even with the stocker screen.
Great job on the most important mod.!!!

It is most definitely a nice unit, and the length of a couple of screws should not deter anyone. Sounds like this is about to be addressed. R

Sir Wasp, :) A question!

Can the stock screen be mounted up higher (than what is possible by positioning the stocker in the high factory mounting location), with your windscreen bracket? if so, how much higher do you think would be possible?

Dave, aka Jakeboy

P.S. Vegemite is OK, if it's the only possible, remaining food available on the planet. I'd compare it with three day old, roadkill.

What the h**l is in that stuff?? It doesn't look bad laying on a whole wheat, crispy cracker at arms length, but there isn't a pretty olive or tomato slice alive, that can get me to bring something like that close to my gaping maw.

I'll ride through some serious "shite", to enjoy Aussie "barbie" chow and brews, however. :D

I also need to fortify my breakfast cereal. But after swapping screws it all went great.

Happy everything got here in time for my trip. Nice stuff. Thanks, Greg.

I think it is because we can't get Wheatabix over here. ;D
I actually suspect it's the lack of Vegemite. ;D

I like Greg's helpful hint, but I used Dupont Teflon Multiuse spray which does the same but better IMHO. BTW, on a side note, I dropped one of those pesky M5 16mm buttonheads while assembling the bracket. I heard it hit the fender then NADA :'(. It isn't on the floor (which has eaten more screws, bolts, nuts and washers than I can count in the past) or anywhere on the bike that I can find :(. In my years of working on motorcycles, I think I could assemble a 747 with things the bike or floor have miraculously caused to disappear ::). Am I the only one who has experienced this ?

No but I have a little trick to find them.

I drive 26km to a specialist nut and screw joint, buy another bolt or two, return home, fit it, and the next day the original bolt or whatever miraculously re-appears. :D

Works nearly every time.

Cheers
Graham

Ponder for a moment why the middle bolt is longer than the bottom one???
Long enough in fact to have to put a dome nut on it to cover the thread..

Yep.. I assembled the ally GPS bracket after the stainless pressing was bolted to the bike and the bolt fell down into the front of the tank somewhere.
I looked for at least 15 minutes before giving up and deciding it will never be seen again.

One month later (few thousand off-road kilometers) I had the tank up and airbox top off for filter cleaning - What do you think I found sitting in a crevice of the frame joints????

If you ever drop a bolt or screw in the garage again, clear out as much as possible and drive your car in there... You are bound to find it buried in one of the tire treads. :(

Greg.

Dude, I thought of everything including all mentioned. No cuffs or laces. In fact, I got my leaf blower out and blew some high speed air over the wheel, front of bike and engine to dislodge the pesky little bolt but no joy. Methinks it disappeared in the "Land of Doununder"--no doubt about it :(.
