Hi there, Folks!

I'm thinking about a bit of a project, but I need to gather up a couple of pieces to start - specifically the right and left side Yamaha OEM plastic crash guards. Yamaha calls them a "Protector", andyou can see them in the parts diagram pic shown below - items #62 an # 65...

These are the plastic "wing" guards just below the right side radiator cover panel and the left side battery/electrics cover panel, and they are each secured with two large, button-head 8mm (thread size) bolts.

Here is Yamaha's parts catalog page if you need more info: http://www.yamahamotorsports.com/partviewer/default.aspx?ls=sport#/Yamaha/SUPER_TENERE_-_XTZ12BB_-_2012/COWLING/XTZ12BB_%282012_MOTORCYCLE%29/COWLING_%28XTZ12BB_-_2012%29

And the part numbers are respectively as follows:

23P-2834V-00-00 - Protector 1 (left side)
23P-2834W-00-00 - Protector 2 (right side)

Many aftermarket crash bars replace these plastic guards, and require that you remove them. Since a lot of inmates here have mounted aftermarket crash bars I thought some folks out there might be willing to part with their OEM plastic guards. I need complete right and left side sets, and they need to be in as close to pristine as possible, but I'll take what I can get.

If you have a set of these and might be interested in parting with them please drop me a PM or reply in this thread.

Thanks!

I still have mine...in a box somewhere. Let me know and I will be happy to part with them. Pay for shipping and you can have them.

They should be near perfect as I never dropped the bike...until I got my crash bars on :)

Outstanding!!! ::008::

I'll take 'em. Just let me know how much you need to ship 'em to 78412 and I'll be happy to send you the funds. Is PayPal OK?

And for you other folks, I am looking for more than one set so if any of the rest of you have any please let me know!

Thanks!

Not to totally hijack Dallara's thread, but I could use a right side crash guard. Mine was destroyed in a wreck on my very first ride. I have Rumbux on now, but would like to have an OEM guard in case the bike ever gets brought back to stock.

Shameless bump... ;)

Still looking for more sets, or even individual ones - like I'll take the left side one of the set where somebody sends trikepilot a right one! ::012::

And thanks, burnoil/Todd!!!

Got the set from you today, and they are, indeed, absolutely perfect, and you packed them well, to boot! ::008::

I appreciate it, and it was a pleasure doing business with you.

I can send you a set next week. Pm your address and I'll let you know what it costs to ship.

I would assume they would fit into one of those handy USPS boxes.
