nice. I will give that Vermont campsite a go this coming 2022 season, restrictions permitting.
Finally got there alas by auto, not on mc. Mid July 2024. I do not know if ownership has changed since the original posting. Guided by my camping partner to tent site 14 on the point.

Nice deep river hole to swim in, feckin cold. Good current. No leeches. Very popular during daylight, fly fishers in morning, splashing families in afternoon. Lots of fifth wheel campers with children.

Quiet at night, so quiet the river seems to roar. No traffic noise at all. Nice and dark too. Two mosquitos, no bears or cats or owls or any wild animals actually so yes, real camping but not real real camping. Maybe the camper dogs keep them at bay. No bug spray needed.
Fire ring with flip grill and picnic table at the site.

At the bath house, washout, potable water, flush toilets, hot/cold showers included.
Ice, firewood, laundry, lecky and wifi available. We both had cell coverage. Yeah I know, not very remote when there is cell coverage but there you go.
Trash dumpsters way up near the paved road far away from the sites, a good thing.
Predominately a commercial family campground for trailers with a few tent sites. Fair spacing at the tent sites.
All considered I would stay again but on a grassy site away from the river seeking more daytime privacy. It's just a short walk to the river.
There are strange changes to camping site costs since I last camped at a commercial site, it struck me as kinda like an auction.
"but I have a reservation...." I know what a reservation is" "I'm not sure you do" springs to mind, credit to seinfeld et al.
A reservation is not a guaranteed reservation unless you pay an extra fee to lock it in. Are they kidding?
When we booked a couple of months ago it almost put me off the whole idea of reserving. I did not lock in.
It all worked out ok for me. Just be aware extra fees exist in many places and are quasi optional so arguing legality is unprecedented.
All the best.
