You will be fine, I rode back from Colorado to home 3,000km with a leaking final drive. Just check the oil level before you leave.

Not uncommon and it's amazing how little fluid you probably lost. Take the wheel off, clean everything, top off the fluid, and just watch it till you have a chance to replace the seal.

There are a number of threads in the Tech/Power sub-area of the forum about it if you want to get more history or input.

Same thing happened to me last month. The dealer replaced the seal (all done under warranty) and all seems fine. -JEP-

I just noticed the rear hub is sticky and dirty. Is this "stop riding right away" bad or OK to ride 20 minutes to Yamaha?

My pumpkin had a slight leak on the top like that after I pulled the pumpkin to grease the drive shaft. While I had the pumpkin off, I let it tip upside down and some gear oil leaked out around the silver cap. Did you drop your bike or have the pumpkin off recently? If you did, that might be where the oil is coming from.

I would clean it all off, top off the gear oil and keep an eye on it. I did the same on my S-10 and everything was fine. It only leaked a little because I let it sit upside down for a few minutes while I was greasing the drive shaft splines.

No big deal. Clean it up and see if it repeats. What you see is a tiny amount of oil. Mine has looked like that for 50I or more.
