Seems my tyres always need air in them even after fitting 2 new tyres I find they always need a few psi in them before I head out, so I was thinking about fitting a
TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM can anybody give me some feedback like what brands to stay away from and if I should go internal or external transmitters
cheers

All tires lose pressure over time and I've forgotten the exact number, but there is an allowable percentage of something like 1.5%(?)/day. Most tires do much much better and we get spoiled as those get to be what we perceive as normal. So there is a real need to check tire pressures at LEAST weekly. And then the question is whether the loss is enough that it may not be from the tire itself.

Sorry to not know about enough bike TPMS to compare them. I am interested in the responses that may come.

Have been looking at a Garmin zumo 390LM for AU $598.85 it also has a tyre pressure monitor built in if you buy the transmitters for the valve stems, then I read this :-

zūmo 390LM is compatible with our integrated Tyre Pressure Monitor Sensor (sold separately). Add a TPMS sensor for each tyre and easily monitor the pressure using your zūmo display. The system works with up to 4 tyres in any configuration (not intended for automotive use). One TPMS sensor is required for each tire (sold separately; metal valve stems only)

not intended for automotive use, are they kidding me???? what did they make it for? a wheelbarrow? ???
Are they really saying it dose not work?
