If I didn't have mine all get up in red/black I'd entertain that same offer. As much as I like the yellow, I'm pretty happy with the gray.

Yea, me too. I really love the Yellow but I'm don't hate my 2014ES grey either.

It just doesn't make sense that the 2016 ES does not come in Yellow?? WTF!

I'm not unhappy with the Grey with the red and white world-crosser kit (most of it) I have on mine. I just have loved the yellow since Kenny Sr. Nostalgic. I'd probably be equally in love with a Geneva green color like the old RD400 my dad raced back in the day. =-]

Probably have to wait till the bikes are actually on the road for a bit. Buying the parts outright isn't terrible either. Cheaper than a quality paint job usually.

I had my matte 14 ES painted 2013 white for less than the cost of the new parts and it looks perfect. $450 to paint those 3 pieces.

Paint must be more here in Cali. I bought a buddy's matte parts and he bought the white (edit;Parts) from Yamaha. Paint (edit;shop) was something like 1200. Yes, $450 is a deal. ::26::

Paint is much more in California. Has to do with all of the environmental expenses.

Might have been if we had ordered it from Yamaha. We took a new white 13 front fender to the NAPA store and they scanned it and matched it perfectly. Nice pearl that looks great in sunlight.
