Looking for a Touratech headlight guard. Black wired grid that is removable for easy cleaning of the headlight. PM me if you have one for sale. Thanks for looking. Racer

FYI. The headlight guard is the only piece of TT kit I have ever purchased.

But I gotta admit it is a valid example of how they get away with those prices.

2 years of abuse. All weather. And the coating is still perfect.

And the actual design for mounting is carried out to perfection.

No regrets.

Sanke, how does the removable function work? Easy to do?

I'm not SB, but it's the same as the oem headlight protector. There are aluminum extensions to the four bolts that hold the black surround on, each having a rubber grommet in them. The headlight protector just pulls off, with the guard having a small stud on each mounting point. So cleaning is easy-peasy, you literally just pop it off, clean, then press it back in. No tools required.

The main advantage to the Touratech version is that it's stainless steel, and compared to the oem version, (which is clear plastic), you don't have to clean the guard too. I often take my OEM one in to the hotel room and wash it in the sink before taking off, when I'm on a trip. Plexus works fine too. ;)

I have one...an you can't have it!

Highly recommended. You're definitely making a good choice. Bound to be some popping up after tomorrow... ;)

If you can grasp an object, you can remove and reinstall the TT guard - just as described above - simple, durable, and, IMO, worth the money, whether new or used.
