As we rode the Virginia country side yesterday, my pillion and I were discussing how everybody wants to go-go-go and we are so fortunate to have rural Virginia, with everything from the Ocean to past the Blue Ridge Parkway!

Good luck, I did it last summer, exceptionally wet but still good fun. Had a ferry delay, be aware if you are on a tight schedule.

Watch out for the rude French speakers in Quebec , I was warned but still found it very surprising.

Thanks, what part of their summer do you recommend going?

June/July is supposedly best, but lots of things to be aware of, black flies, use the free sat phone option, keep an eye on ferry times and maybe pre book. Camping or hotel, not huge options. Lots on the web or send me a pm and I will send you what I have .

I did Nova Scotia to Argentan to the easterly point, and then up to the ferry for Labrador, and then the Lab Highway across Canada to Yellowknife and then into the US via skagway.

Wow, thanks. I've read the official web sites and a few ride reports on ADVRider. Been warned about the black flies. It's always good to have a more personal account, anything would be greatly appreciated. I'll send a pm soon.
