There is a 2012 about 2hrs from me at a Yamaha dealer. I am always trying to get deals on what I buy, but with a high demand/limited availability product, I don't know if it is possible.

Forgive me if this is not allowed, but I want to ask about pricing.

This dealer wants $16075 out the door, including the side cases.

Jump or wait for a better deal?

Thanks!
David

Many here paid a lot less than that., I know I did. If it were me, I would look elsewhere unless they are willing to deal.

I would wait and shop some more, also look in to all the different (non OEM) saddlebags that are available.
You might be able to buy a Tenere for around $14,500 or less OTD. without bags
I paid way less than that.

David - you don't say where you are... but Romney Cycles WV will do you one for $12,795. On top of that you'll have to add your state taxes, and whatever accessories.

Thanks folks. I'm in Winston-Salem, NC. WV would be somewhat of a haul for me, but I appreciate the tip. I'm going to do some more shopping around. I posted because I didn't know if the limited availability was justifying such a high premium. Sounds like the bike can still be had for a more reasonable price.

Thanks!

if minnesota is a possibility, try Larsonscycle, the s10 is still listed on their website. my price was among the lowest I have seen, having said that, the retail price on their website is nowhere near what I paid...so that could be an issue. the owner is an enthusiast and the staff very friendly and helpful. my strom came from there, S10 came from there, bet my next bike does too.
