Yesterday I was standing watching people go by...and I think no one sees the reminder anymore...they just pass by the side. They don't even take a photo, but they do take hundreds of photos of Big Ben, the Thames...time is usually cruel as it passes

So often we forget or just don't know what is there at the time we walk past. I have read a lot about my countries history and how we got to where we are today. If I am out riding and see a memorial of some sort across my great country I will stop and learn about it. They are some of the high lights of my trips. I know I would try to do the same in other countries if I had to opportunity. Please feel free to share the photos and stories of your visits!

Commuted into DC for 32 years where you can’t swing a dead cat and miss a memorial to somebody or some group. Even so there are some you pass every day and they become favorites like the sequence of WW2, FDR, Vietnam Nam, Memorial Bridge leading to Arlington Cemetery …

Stupid mother fu . . . . If he wasn't hurt from the crash, he soon would be if that had been my bike he smashed into. That being said, "I" would not have been parked in a spot like that, knowing there were riders like that on the road.
