Hello to you all.

Been riding bikes for the past 34 years. Recent bikes have been XTZ750, TDM 850, 3 TDM 900's and a CBR 1000F

Just purchased a Jan 2012 1200 First Edition. She arrived yesterday and I've been staring at her since

Wanted to say hello and will be asking all sorts of questions shortly

Regards

Martin

Hello Catsbum ... welcome to the site. Nice bikes but the XT1200Z is better .... but you know that. TDM's .... funny bikes but very, very good at what they do.

TDM = Funny? Does not compute!

TDM's are all round brilliant bikes. Love them, but with the onset of old age means gammy legs and a bike that does more. The 1200 is the one. Looking forward to modding riding and reviewing

Welcome!

I have a TDM which I have loved for years, which has stayed in my garage alongside a number of other bikes, because nothing ever quite replaced it. The Super10 is the first bike that has made me think I can let the TDM go. Its new owner will pick it up next week. :'(

Funny how these big lumps of metal and plastic can be so hard to let go of. It actually makes me happy that I can be sad to let something go like that. So many things these days are just replaced without a thought.

Said goodbye to the Strom last week. It was a bit sad to see the empty space in the shed. The new buyer has been emailing me with questions about cleaning tips, so that makes me feel better.

Anyway, the only Tedium experience I had was on a YAMAHA ride day just after I stepped off an S10. I don't think the word Tedium is fair, but it wasn't nearly as integrated as the other bikes I rode. Felt like a bits and pieces bike. The engine is a little Gem though.

Cheers
Graham
