I like to stand and ride ever so often. But where my knees touch or should grip the tank, its slick as can be. Who makes a good looking tank gripper for this??

And pics would be very nice.

Thanks

I installed the TechSpec C3 tank pads. You can find a good write up and video at Revzilla.

I think this might be the product you are looking for.

Good Luck

I have the TechSpec pads and love them. I was reluctant to put them on cause I wasn't sure if I liked the way they looked, but it makes the bike. Plus they function great too.

TechSpec... good people. Years ago they used my OEM side cases to design the protective strips. Last year they used my 2015 ES to design the tank pads. Plus it is a nice ride to and from their location, https://goo.gl/maps/F4nDSd6UvSM2 .

I ride off-road and I always had issues keeping my position up on the tank when standing and for shock absorption. At the end of the day, my knees would be in ridiculous pain.

Techspec tankpads fixed both those problems. 5/5 would highly recommend.

Tim,
I was wondering if they designed a new size/shape for the Gen 2. There are two listings on their website (with different numbers), but they both indicate "2010 and newer". Do you have a picture of yours on your 2015?

TIA

Update: just heard back from TechSpec. I had not noticed that the shape was slightly different between the two styles on their website. It appears (although they did not say this) the 62-4012 version matches the size/shape of the graphics on the Gen 2 models.

Yes, as I thought. Early on they didn't have any listing for the Tenere so I simply ordered the bulk sheets from them and designed/cut my own.

Thanks!! ::024::
