i have a set of spotlights for the 10.they are not the yamahas own lights, bought some cheaper LEDs.my question is.
Can I tap into the spare auxiliary light lead.meaning splice the positive and ground wires and connect straight to LEDs or do I need to go via a relay.
The auxiliary lead is fused on the s10.

No such thing as daft questions, your aux leads are located on the battery side of the bike there is 2 leads that are not connected to anything one has 3 wires and the other has 4 wires ,they are used for attaching the Oem heated grips and the original Yamaha spot lights.
Because one of the wires is switched this means as you turn your ignition on it goes live this switches your lights on,switch ignition off lights go off without draining the battery.
