Hello everybody,

I am very excited about my new bike. Come from 7 years of riding R1150GS and wanted an upgrade/update. I pulled the trigger without having ridden one but I am glad I did.
I will see you guys around.

Welcome from another n00b. I'm going on a month with my new/leftover 2014 ES, and loving the bike. Came from an FJR (if five months counts) and before that, a 2012 V-Strom 1000.

Hoping to be moving to your lovely state about a year from now...

Welcome. I rode from Alberta to the Mexican border last year. Some great riding in California. You'll love the bike, I'm sure.

Welcome Ostion & Vanderwho. I love that you both transitioned from some industry stalwarts. Ostion, I'm just at the other end of the 710 fwy in NE L.A./Pasadena area. Vanderwho. come on down, ride all year long.

Why thanks. It's going to take about a year to get ready for the transition professionally, but I'm looking forward to the change after 40+ years in Colorado. Spent a part of my childhood down in OC. Will probably wind up looking for a townhome as close to the Pasadena area as property values will permit -- wife has friends there -- or maybe down around Temecula. Riding year-round? What a concept!
