Skene IQ-275A and Trailtech Switch with Alert Trigger

I am expecting the final parts for my Scene IQ-275A install on 2014 S10 ES
I am using the Trailtech stitch part 040-HBS-05
Also planning on using the ALERT TRIGGER with dual diodes for button switch

QUESTION

Anyone else do the full install using the Trailtech switch and the diode alert trigger?

I have the 175 with the Alert feature, and used a simple DPST switch mounted in a previously drilled hole (I don't change light levels very much). Even with the diode installed, I do notice that hitting the horn takes my connected lights to 100%, where double-tapping the horn button is what triggers the alert strobing.
