Looking at all the ads in the back of my Cycle World mag, I ran across another option for paint protection on the fuel tank: http://mag-knight.com/Simple%20Sheet.htm

I have used similar material on my FJR. I went to a sign company and purchased a couple of sheets of magnetic sign plastic like you see on car or truck doors. Just plain black plastic sheets. Cut to fit and lasted until I sold the bike. These simple sheets look like something that could be used in the same way and they have them in carbon look or some colors.

I really need something because the paint is pretty soft and shows knee buffs on the black

Anybody ever use the Mag-Knight material. I know of the other two options that have been discussed on this forum.

Looks like a neat way to go, and not too pricey.

I had a mag-knight bra on my FJR, just took a little heat the first time I installed it and it fit great, good product.
