Sidi Charger, Crossfire, or Adventure boot?

I need a new pair of boots and have ridden in sidi's for 8 years and love them. before that I wore sidi mountain bike shoes and loved them, hence why I am looking to stick with sidi. I like all 3 boots, all are comfy and the charger and crossfire hit my protection boxes. Who has these boots and can give me some advice on them?

I am riding 75% road and 25% offroad. These boots will see dirt roads and maybe some double track as well as a trip to deadhorse in the next 2 years.

I am leaning towards the crossfires just due to the protection. I am OK with having to work a bit to get them on as its a trade off in my opinion.

thanks

I have been wearing the crossfires for 5 years for supermoto. They are fantastic boots, very comfortable and durable. I just bought the adventures for a waterproof boot for the xtz but have not tried them yet.

P.s. I don't recommend the white ones. Looked great for a week, now look 20 years old.

Do you wear them on the Tenere? I would get black with the yellow. Thanks for the info!

I actually really like those boots honestly. How long have you had them and what are they like to walk in and so on?

I haven't worn my boots on the Tenere yet, but I feel they are the best boots to walk in because of the ankle motion allowed. They do squeek, but I can live with that for the comfort and protection they give.

I have the Sidi Crossfire TAs and love them. I went to a shop looking for boots and the salesperson pointed out the Sidis. After seeing the price, I said no way but eventually relented to try them on "for comparison." Once I got them on, though, I was reaching for my credit card. Incredibly comfortable boots. ::008::

Gaerne Adventure boots on my feet. I love Gaernes and they are my fourth sets of boots (Trials, road, racing and Adventure). They are waterproof, flexible but secure, easy to walk in, and make no squeeky sounds when you walk. Also cheaper I believe than the Sidi's but fit like slippers.

the thing I like about the Sidi boots is the armor. i have had a get at high speeds on the track where the bike landed on my ankle and the boot took the hit and I was 100% fine. The Gaernes dont seem to have the armor I am looking for unless they have it hidden in the boot itself?

I have the Adventure and love them! They're Goretex waterproof and very comfy. I thing for 75% on and 25% off road the Adventure boots will do the job perfectly.

But bot are great boots. Can't go wrong with these. ::008::

had them a few months now, very sturdy boots and very cool looking, comfy and not too bad for walking, but they r still wearing in.
im gonna try and stop the squeaking by spaying silicon on the plastic moving joints ::008::

I went and tried on the sidi discovery and adventure boot. I like both boots but I am going to go with the adventure just due to the protection it offers.

I have the adventures and really like them so far, I dont have the gortex ones but so far the few light rains I have been in they have not leaked. I have walked about 12 miles in them (walking the dogs) 1 to 2 miles at a time and they are comfy and just a little squeaky. The only complaint is they are a little thick in heght at the toe box. I have had to adjust my shifter a couple of times and have reached a decent compromise.
