Side cover from ES to std model

Hello

I have a 2014 non ES. I saw the ES model has this side cover a non ES doesn't have.
Can I use this side cover on Non ES ST or with the shock preload adjuster on the way I can't ?

I don't think the adjuster would get in the way. I've always assumed that the cover is either for covering the ES reservoir, or one of the "ES" only bits. The UK/EU non-ES bikes lack a few odd bits that US bikes don't.

Great item at great price. When the panniers are not there, I found it was lacking something on the bike side.

yes the side panels like below are cheap as chips

That cover hides the stepper motor and hydraulic preload pump for the ES rear shock. The ES has some extra brackets on the rear sub frame to accept the cover. If you wanted to use the factory cover you’d have to work out how to fit it yourself. Probably cheaper and easier to go with the aftermarket solution.
