Shoei GT Air Helmet - Anyone own one?

I was at the Edmonton Motorcycle show and tried on the Shoei GT Air and really liked how it felt for the 3 minutes I had it on. I went to Revzilla and watched the RevzillaTV segment about it's features and the breakdown. It's available for pre-order here and Revzilla lists it as a pre-order as well, but it's been available in places for a bit (apparently).

What I want to know is:

Do you own it, or have you owned it?
What did you like?
What didn't you like?
Shoei owners: any other concerns you'd like to mention?

I like it, and am considering buying it, but without any chance to try it ON the bike, I'm hesitant to drop the ~$600 they want for it online, and the estimated $700+ they quoted me here in Edmonton.

KC, the new Shoei Neotec is identical but has the flip-up option for about the same price. Once you start travelling with a flip-up model, you will see the advantages and benefits it offers vs standard model. Allows you to talk to people without taking your helmet off or when travelling at very low speed (ex looking for an empty spot at a camping site etc...), great when at gas station or when meeting other ADV riders on the road...
here is a link with reviews on the Neotec

Thanks for the replies. I have a flip-up helmet in a Scorpion Exo-900 and it's loud at highway speed, even with earplugs. I have a Nolan N43E Trilogy for city riding (nice and light but windy and loud at highway speed). I've been kicking around the idea of a full face helmet for the last 6-8 months and tried on a bunch at the show.

WebBikeWorld likes the Neotec, Revzilla likes the Neotec, and forum folks seem to like their Neotecs. Guess I'll go try on a Neotec at the local shop.

I have a Shoei Multi-Tec and a Shoei Neotec, the Neo is a extremely quite compared to my Mulit-Tec. I always wear custom fitted ear plugs (Fit Ear) and I can forget to put them in and not notice for awhile when wearing the Neo.. That's not the case with any other helmet I own.

I'm sure I'll get grief for this next statement but the Neo (to me) is and all around better lid then my Schuberth that I've stopped wearing cause I'm just not a fan of it- I really tried to like it but its just so-so. My vote for flip up/modular goes to the Neotec.
The only issue I have is no tinted (outer) shield, not the internal tinted sunglasses one. I live in SUNNY California and hate getting the sun beating down on my face all day.

Just my .2 cents
