I dropped the big bucks on this lid friday and rode to and from Atlin, love the fit, versatility but very noisy at high speed. Less noise with chin gaurd flipped up and back???? Find keeping sun visor and main visor clean a task with each time you open close one of the visors.

my 02 cents

The noise level of the modular helmets is generally higher than a typical fullface helmet.
I have a Evoline 2 helmet that is my favorite helmet, I do wear earbuds with music piped in.
The fit and comfort of this helmet is better than the Shoei Multitec that it replaced.
The new Evoline 3 is out in Europe, supposed to have some improvements including a chin vent, lighter weight and a newopening system, which as i understand it, allows the chinbar to be opened without having to first open the faceshield.

I had the Evoline one. And it ruined my Euro tour. The visor broke, the chin kept sticking and bits fell off it. Not good in Spanish rain.
They exchanged it and the replacement did the same. I would say that I loved the open face bit though

Justbob-agreed noise on modulars is higher noise levels. I have owned a few brands that I have paid much less for and they never advertised less noise. This helmet cost is high and talks of low wind noise, I beg to differ. I need to either ride slower or find a better windscreen option. I wish you could test drive helmets, would not have bought it...

wore mine on my Yukon 2012 trip for 8500 miles. I ended up using the evo as a 3/4 the entire time except in very cold or driving rain. May as well just go buy a lightweight 3/4. Overall I was very pleased and it is by far my favorite helmet but here are my issues. Needs to vent better, be lighter, and the sunshield is scratched up from rubbing on the helmet. Noise was never an issue for me with the 24" parabellum windshield.

Europe .... Made in Texas
I have an Evo 2 .... pretty good. Sun visor scratches up badly due to a poor design ... I think the third evolution has taken care of that. It's very heavy too. Looks good though .. comfortable behind the screen of my FJR.
