would passing a GS be as fun as passing a Harley, or group of Harleys on the road?

I'm going to Northern France with a whole bunch of GSA's .... this ride out is always a non stop piss take. We'll all find out how the bikes perform over the course of a few days hard riding. This is a fast group that take no prisoners.

Really good to see what the S10 can do. Of course I have no intention of riding it like an impatient hot head.

Having lived in southern Europe for a few years, I'd say many drive/ride like that. You should try navigating a full sized American pickup through Sorrento! Great fun! Some of that was in Southern France, just west and north of Monaco.

+1

I always laugh when showing my travel photos to American friends, who are used to roads being wide enough for cars to pass and still have a shoulder. This looks pretty normal for backroading in the French Alps & the only surprising bit to me was how he never had to stop for a herd of sheep/cows/horses in the road.

Love the Bavarian accent of the RT rider. Having lived in northern Germany, that accent always makes me laugh. :)

That guy is a fellow member of the German Tenere forum. The video is from his trip to the Cevennes, a very rural mountainous region in Southern France. I understand he was filming the whole trip, and that video is a compilation of bloopers. BTW I find it true that the GoPro Hero HD (which - like me - he's using) dramatizes the speed and makes the roads look much narrower due to its wide angle lens. And that Swiss RT rider at the end is taking his head off to the Tenere guy.
