They already banned gasoline garden equipment in the LA Basin. No mower for the lawn on a Sunday morning? How un-American is that?

As long as they leave my bike alone they can take all the cars... I'd be out of work...
::) I'm good with that. ::26::

I hope it's the county/district fees that make for the fluctuation, 'cause our plates are literally in sequence. And wtf is the deal with the round number?? Yours at least sound like fees, mine sounds like a speeding ticket. I have two more whole months before I have to give 'the man' his money, and he ain't gettin' any till then!
I know,
::002:: , and ::010:: and I should ::021:: ::26::

The reg fee is determined by purchase cost. It is a state fee with no local tax/fee added.

89.00 for a permanent plate in Montana. Good for as long as I own the bike.

Yep Hipshot, found out about the Montana permatag when I bought my S10. The owner lived in SLC but had it registered in MT since he maintained a residence there. It was a royal pain getting all the paperwork straightened out so I could tag the bike in TX. To be fair, the hassle was more due to the incompetance of his credit union, but it will linger long on my brain.

$18 for each bike/year + $22 inspection fee each, times 5, $54 for my truck + $60 insp, $36 for the car + insp.
That's not bad.. Buuuuuut how much are your property taxes and personal income taxes?

In Texas we don't have income taxes.. ::025:: And my property taxes are only 2100.00 for 11 acres and a 2,500 sq ft house and shop and barn..
Ya gotta love Texas.. ::26::

japako, you must be out in the sticks. In Fort Worth, property taxes on my 3,200 sq ft house on a postage stamp lot are $5,100. :mad:

In Alabama, I could gloat about paying $900/yr for 3,200 sq ft on 2.5 acres with a 2 car attached garage and a 3 car detached garage. Man! I miss that set place. :(
