Rear brake reservoir - any reported damage?

I know there are some threads on guards for the reservoir, but has anyone actually seen one damaged and what were the circumstances? Cheers

So does this mean that all the guards being sold and locally manufactured were done for nothing? Trying to decide if I need a guard because the reservoir looks vulnerable but if there has been no actual damage perhaps mr Yamaha got it right.
