So how scratched up did it get? Put the other way, how well did the bars work?

My soft luggage took the brunt of the damage.
The bike had some scratch's on the hand guards, the stock plastic engine guard and the altrider bash plate. I didn't have my crash bars on. Since putting the bars on I haven't dropped! Prior to crash bars I had 6 get offs.
