Pop Up Ride - Friday August 31 - Crown King! UPDATED

Guys,

I don't where or when I'm going yet, but am looking to take the bike out for the day somewhere around the valley, and somewhere there's dirt roads. Let me know if you have any suggestions/want to join in.

So I decided to make the run up to Crown King tomorrow. Meet at the Chevron station on Carefree highway, KSU is 8am. Don't know if I will do the Senator Highway up into Prescott yet or not.

Can't make it. Last I heard the Senator Hwy was closed due to the fire damage. Not sure when it is to open. You may want to check the forest service site.

Checked the site, the map was dated from June, so I don't know if its still in effect. Looks like the road to Crown King is open though, so it may be an out and back ride.

I did the Senator Hyw road last march. From Crown King north it is really not what I would call a road. Most of it is bad but then gets a bit better. I did not go all the way to Prescott. I have a few hours of work in the early am Friday and then I was going to try and go north of Cave Creek to I-17 on 7 springs road. Maybe I will see you along the way?

I haven't done that one before, what time were you planning on heading there?
