Hi all

I am working through a couple of minor niggles we need to resolve on the S10, on the list is to try to reposition the pillion foot rests as my wife's heels catch the Yamaha panniers when we ride with them fitted, has anyone on here found a decent fix for this, I would like to move the footrests down and forward slightly, seen a set on e-bay but they come from Hong kong and state they fit 2010 to 2013 bikes, I tried contacting them to see if they would fit my 2015 bike but had no reply.

Update
I bought the e-bay items from Hong kong (not nice items) but decided to try them for fit, they offer multiple positioning of the pillion rests 40 mm off centre to OE fit my wife preferred them in the directly vertical position so dropping the rests 40mm down giving her more room and moving her feet down enough to give her heels clearance from the Yamaha boxes. we had 3 hour out on the bike on Sunday she says this mod has transformed her comfort on the bike, good news for us both if she is happy I am happy.
My next task will be to have a set of 40mm drop adapters made to fit the OE rests and then dispose of the cheap looking Chinese rests.

I also solved another minor niggle which caused my wife some annoyance, if I let go of the throttle and it snapped shut whilst under moderate power the engine brake effect is very sudden and enough for her to be pitched forward and on some occasions resulting in a clash of lids, I fixed this problem with a smear of friction grease between the bars and the twist grip, we now have a nice gentle closing throttle, both very happy with the results of both mods.

Happy wife happy life.
If you search you ought to be able to find a couple of threads in which people discuss either unwrapping the throttle spring one turn or replacing it.
