Anyone have a pic of the bottom of the OEM topbox?

Just looking at ideas for a topbox (not to be used all the time) and wondering if it has a flat surface to mount to my Altrider rack. Also looking at the Jesse box (to match my bags) and the Givi Trekker (altrider has a mounting kit for the rack).

So no pics?

OK, can anyone tell me if the bottom of the oem topbox is flat, or could easily be made flat with some trimming without effecting the structrual integrity of the box?

It's flat with a indent. Hope this helps and that you can see it in the photos. Each corner has a 1/4" raised protection area for when not in use and stored.

Thanks for the pics!

Looks like it would be easy to mount to my Altrider rack.

Another question...what is the Length and Width of the box at the bottom? Looks like it is the same width of the grabrails (which are removed on my bike).

Is the bottom flush with the bottom of the mounting bracket when mounted or does it extend down below the mounting bracket? If so, about how much?

Thanks!

13" front to back and 14 1/2" side to side (dead center of grab rails and front of box starts about 1/4" behind them)

Yes it does. Only the protective corners extend below (around a 1/4" from bottom flat side of the box / top of mounting bracket). Box is about 11 1/2" tall.

I also have the OEM box inbound. I'm not a big fan of the OEM rack and really like the Altrider rack, so I'll be keeping tabs on this thread for sure. ::017::
