New this year PIAA is introducing a 530 LED light kit available through Yamaha USA (accessories catalog) and at your local Dealership. This kit features our new 3 1/2" rearward facing LED lamps that offer riders a true long distance controlled driving pattern without the large draw of an halogen. Rear facing LED's and not front facing technology, allows us to use only 2-5w LED's to offer the brightness of an front facing LED's and the beam control of a halogen because of the use of the reflector. Nice, wondering if the 530 LED bulbs will fit in Piaa's (OEM) Tenere fog lights. I tried to open one once with no success.

They will not work as this two lights are very different designs. The 530 LED Lamps use 2 very small 5 watt LED bulbs that are mounted on a plate, one on top and the other mounted on the bottom. This design is to direct the light back on the reflector as to have better beam pattern control.

Wayne here has helped me get some of these 530 lights before Yamaha was offering them. They work great. I have the fog lens, but think the driving lens would help further down the road. It would be nice to at least to have one fog and one driving. They are very bright. One thing to remember is the wiring kit from Yamaha for the 530 LEDs does not have the OEM connectors for it to be a true Plug N Play set up. You will have to contact Jim at Eastern Beaver for the proper connections if you want it connected to the factory supplied connectors.

I've been using the 530 led driving lights on my Dakar for a while now. I wouldn't classify the light output as awesome but they outshine my hid high beam by a fair bit. Definitely worth what I paid.
