Hello all...I just wanted to post some photos of my completed PC8 fusebox installation, in case someone else out there was looking for a possible solution.
The PC8 was installed under the seat (I couldn't find any place else on the 2014 model), on a homemade shelf I made out of 2mm aluminum. I used the Eastern Beaver PC8 wiring harness made for the S10, but because of the way I mounted the fusebox, I had to solder extra extra wire onto the harness so it would reach from the battery to the fusebox. I found that the most convenient place to mount the PC8 relay was an existing bolt that is just to the front of the battery. the bolt is recessed, so I had to use several fender washers below the bolt to bring it flush with the relay. I did have to use a longer bolt than the stock one.
I lifted the tank to make it easier to run the wires. Both the left and right side outlet wires are routed to the right side of the bike, since there is a gap on that side in the plastic tray under the seat that allows the passage of the wires without cutting into the tray. All the wires were sheathed in either split loom or tube sleeving from McMaster-Carr.
The outlet mounts were homemade, from 1/8" aluminum.
Hope this helps anyone who is contemplating an installation and was looking for any ideas......
Here is a link to a photo album on the forum that shows more of the dimensions and construction of the mounting shelf for the PC8, and the installation of the PC8:
