Overheating, empty radiator

Gentlemen: some of you knows the pressure the original radiator cap deals with, in our Superten ? Owner's manual doesn't declare it.

Pressure is determined by volume, mix, and Temp.

The WR450 uses the same cap as the super ten

Responding to me? I used water only during the 3 hours on the way back, as the reserve tank kept overfilling and exhausting the coolant. We flushed the system with new coolant, cleaned the radiator and changed the lid; good as new. Problem never returned.

Water alone is a better conductor of heat than the proper water/coolant mix.

Till it boils or freezes and you have an even bigger problem.
