Oem topcase lock install

Anyone having troubfle installing their top case lock? The side case locks went on easy peasy but I cannot get the lock into the top case. Even took one of the side case locks out and tried installing it. No go. It appears the back plate will not engage the ?teeth? It is supposed to. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I did not install the lock in the top case but did two for the sides,
It was almost as hard as talking that first girl friend in to a little but I got both done! >
