Hello,
I purchased a used engine guard and the upper bracket is missing. This part can not be ordered separately. Does anyone have one laying around from a crashed set perhaps? Please let me know what you like for it. Thanks a lot for the time.

Re: OEM Engine Guard

If its the one im thinking of, would be real easy to make one. Its just a small diamiter pipe flattened at each end with two holes on one end and a single larger one on other end.

Thanks a lot for the advice. If you have one could you take a couple of measurements for me? Maybe a pic of two?

If you'll pay shipping I'll send you mine that I don't use. I have all the hardware from the original plastic skid plate. PM me if you want to talk about the parts I have.

You may be right. I think we may be talking two separate things here, I need the short bar from the neck to the upper portoin of the engine crash guard. Hopefully I'll be talking to pmcwil619 later today and we'll find out. Otherwise still looking for parts or info. Thanks a lot.

Yep, we were on different pages. Very nice of pmcwil619 but I'm still on the hunt.

If nobody does it before I'll get pictures up this evening. It really is a simple piece.

Ok. It's real close to 9 inches long and it is a 1/2 inch outer diameter steel pipe. Two smaller holes on one end and one larger on other end. The end closer to neck where it is flat is bent at a slite angle. There are two small holes on the bottom I guess to let water out.

Man, other than someone having the part this is a close second. I think I'll try to make one this weekend if I have time. Probably won't get to it till next week though. I'm thinking of trying it a couple different ways. 1) round tube 2) flat bar. Seems like a fairly simple project.

Thanks howier! Very nice of you to take the time to do this.
