North American Side Panels in Black not Silver?

Rattle can all the way on my raven as soon as I get it. I posted about this a while ago. My idea is to leave the center part of the right side black to match the black radiator grill on the left side.

Hi Bill310, I have the black on order, And I will order the silver ALTRIDER parts and the silver jesse bags. I like your idea of the silver side Panels. Just wondering how much for the jesse bags? and what bags did you order and size. If you don’t mind me asking. Thanks LIMEY

Wow! I like the black insert on the silver sidecover. It is perfectly placed to get away from having too much silver on one side and helps to create a much more balanced / integrated look on the right side. Of to the workshop I go... now where did I put that paint brush again.... ;D

I am getting the 115 litre bags, and no top box. I wanted as much space lockable and low. For lane splitting it will be 1.5 inches wider/per side than the handlebars, but still narrower than my goldwing or ktm 990 with Happy Trails bags.

I have a pelican 1550 set up to carry mr camera gear that will bout on and off my alt rider rear rack.

I have no idea what the price will be. I am getting them keyed to match our other bikes with jesse bags - very handy.

I really like the accent that the silver gives to the side panels. This may be something I do while the bike is tucked away in the stable this winter!!!

My Silver Side Panels Arrived

I got home today and the package from Europe had arrived.

It is weird I have all the silver fasteners, the silver side panels and the Tenere Tank Pad and no Motorcycle.

The panels look very nice, smooth shiny finish not the rough textured black plastic I saw at the dealership.

i am wondering how some charcoal carbon color laminate vinyl decal stuff would look and or work on the side panels. I think a carbon look on some of the pieces would look wonderful.

TapeWorks has carbon fiber pattern decals sheets available in several hues. Don't remember how large the sheets are. Their web site shows them applying it to auto wheels IIRC. I use the stuff to make sun shades for the helmet visors and it fits OK on the multiple-curved surface. Might be a bear to lay down smooth on such a large piece....

I still like the black side panel, but with the silver chain mail look from the Urban video
