Took a trip up to one of our mississippi mountains ;D Actually not a mountain at all but a bluff overlooking a river basin. Local not so smarts refer to it as the Mississippi Grand Canyon because right over from my bike in this pic is a serious drop off that stretches in the shape of a big "U". I rode the old road bed up to it on the S10 it was not without some excitement. Weather was perfect at about 70 degrees.

Yeah, same here. :'(

I hope your windshield is covered in bugs. I know that's harsh, but ... jeeze. You sure make it tough on an old guy.

Oh, okay ... have fun. Dammit. R ::001:: ::008::

Roy, nice photo. I love country like yours. I found the Old Highway on GoogleMaps and viewed it with Street View. Did you take the first trail on the left to get to the summit? Definitely a flood plain though a beautiful.

I took the old road bed that was used before the state rerouted the road due to numerous slides there. I went across the barricade and took a 4 wheeler path up to the top. Easy way is to come off state reroute and just drive to within 100 yards of summit. No fun in that though lol
