I am making transition from sport touring moto to the adventure touring ranks. I've been debating changing motos for awhile. I was really impressed when I first saw the Super Tenere last fall in the Motorcycle News AT moto shootout. The ST wasn't available in dealers in my area until this Spring, so the Chicago motorcycle show in February was the first chance I had to throw a leg over it. That sealed the deal for me. I recently purchased a blue ST and am excited to pick it up from the dealer soon. Also, trying to sell my '07 Honda ST1300. You could say I changed from one ST to another. Wish I could keep both, but I would hate to neglect either ST, so the Honda must go.

I'll be cruising this forum to see what other fellow ST owners are doing to trick out their ride and to share some of my experiences & pics soon.

Welcome aboard!!! There are a bunch of either "ex" or present Honda ST owners here (myself included). You're going to like this ST even better than the other one!!

Welcome on, STPanther. Hey, you want to buy a 2009 ST1300? Probably not. I've got one. I hear you. Welcome to the Forum, and let us know when that boy comes home to roost. ::004:: R. ::022::

welcome STpanther!!! It took me a while to shake my Honda blood too. Going from the ST1100 and 1300 to a VSTrom took quite some time. Now with the Tenere, this is the best ever!!!

::004:: IOWAN I'll be looking for you out here. Are you going to Moonshine?
I won't be making the Moonshine trip (conflict). I've read a lot about it and it sounds like a good time. Maybe next time. I'll keep my eyes on the lookout for fellow S10 riders.

Re: New Super T owner in Iowa**The S10 is in the garage!

I just wanted to share some great news. It has been a very good and bittersweet week for me and I couldn't be happier. ::015::

I sold my 2007 Honda ST 1300 Wednesday night to a very nice guy who drove up from Missouri. I hated to part with the Honda but just couldn't make cents (pun intended) owning two motos. :'( I know it has gone to another good home and Danny will surely enjoy the ST as much as I have.

Now the really good part. I picked up my spankin' new blue Super Tenere and rode it home this afternoon. ;D I think I am still smiling. What an awesome moto. I am looking forward to getting back on it, but unfortunately forecast is rain tomorrow (we actually need it badly) so I won't be able to ride it to work. :( I am looking forward to some major exploring on the S10.

Take care everyone. I hope you had a good week too.

Snowed and rained on me the first week I got my new ST ::010:: It was between 30 and 43 degrees but I still managed to get 500 miles in less than a week ::015:: Enjoy your new ride STPanther
