Planning to pickup the Super10 this weekend, what are the recommendations for equipment adds?
Planning to start with Happy Trails side cases.
Looking for best center stand, heated grip, and skid plate recommendation.

It's new, dry and bare OEM now, my best chance to mod it right the first time.

Hmm - comes with a great centerstand as-is. The OEM handgrips are pretty robust in that the heating element is apart of the grip's make-up, meaning you don't have a heating element wrapped around your bars, then the grips overtop of that. Lots of folks swear by them, plus the thermostat is the real deal, too.

Skip the oem skid plate if you do any amounts of real offroading. I consider it a gravel protector. Rumbux or RideOnAdv's skidplates are at the top of the list, IMO for offroad protection. I'm not sure if the Altrider or SW Motech plates attach to the oil pan sump or if they attach to the frame.

Altrider crashguards are real good, Givi are the most economical if you're on a shoestring budget, and Rumbux has an all-in-one crashguard/skidplate combo that integrates itself nicely.

What type of riding you do dictates a lot of what you'll want to add-on to make it "yours". My suggestions are just based off my firsthand experience and research...

Get the wind deflectors. That will make a world of difference at highway speeds.

Welcome,
I would second Karson's advice.
I have the Yamaha skid plate, and it is a fine gravel protector. I hope to purchase a better one soon.
I also have the Givi tip over bars. They may not be the most robust bars out there, but seem fine for me.
Enjoy!

I am a rookie here but I think if there is anything on the bike in the way of ergonomics that you are not happy with, solve that first. So far I've added Grip Puppies, Kaoko throttle lock, and Madstad bracket. Today I ordered the long hydraulic lines and Rox risers from Jaxon. Hopefully you are fine with it the way it is, but if not, then IMO get comfy first.

I have a 2012 I picked up used and it is set up great, send me a message and you can check out the parts on my bike and I think it would give a good idea of what you want to due. I am a few hours north but we could meet in Mount Vernon or Mansfield on the weekend when the snow is not flying.

Welcome on, STiOH from Ohio. Congrats on the new bike. As all have indicated, your usage will dictate what you require. If you're going to do any travelling, the panniers will serve you well. Comfy and protection should be next. If you're not going to get too rowdy, then you don't need much protection. Search the Forum ... pretty well every accessory you can think of has been discussed here. ::004:: to the Forum. R. ::022::

Thanks for info.
Ordered the Rumbux 3 piece today, going to do a Rox adjustable set for ergonomics
Is it worth changing out the stock bar before I put on the heated grips - or is stock good enough for nearly everything?

The Happy Trails cases definitely are a go, the post with the pics showing relative size was very helpful.

MadStad and Yamaha side deflectors added to stock should get me good for wind protection.
