Hello,

new owner here from Ohio. I have been getting tons of good information from all of you for the last few weeks...Thanks!!
I picked up my new Black S10 on July 27th after a month of reviewing all the options. I had a Triumph Street Triple R, and although it was a blast to ride, I was missing out on a lot of riding due to it's street only orientation.

I proceeded to get the S10 broke in and farkled up over two weeks and then took it on a solo trip out west to visit my sister in Olympia, WA. The trip was a blast and I could feel the S10 transform performance wise over the 13 days I was gone. ::012::

I hope to be able to contribute to the group when I can, this is a very informative forum.

Thanks,

Tom

Thanks.

It's funny that before the Street Triple I had a 2008 C14 for 3 years but never had time for much touring due to family responsibilities. Decided to go with a fun naked bike and then I started having time to take trips ::)

My stock tires probably have another 1k miles left in the rear and my K60s will be here today. Now I have to decide if I'll swap tires out now and save the stockers as a backup, or run them down and then switch.

decisions, decisions....

Welcome, Tom, from central Ohio. I am keeping my Street Triple, it and the Super Ténéré make a nicely varied set. ::001::

I expect that, like me, you'll enjoy your ST more the longer you own it.

::004:: Tom, that's a nice little ride for a break in. It just gets better and better the more miles that get put on it. ::022::

I completely agree. I started the trip with about 550 miles and fresh oil/filter. Coming off the triple, I still wasn't fully acclimated to the differences in the power bands and off idle response. The first couple days on the interstate had me wondering if I could live with it long term. Once it had a few thousand miles, it was a lot smoother. I have about 6800 mile on her now and it is running great.
