Hello all, I'm the proud owner of a 2014 Super Tenere ES. I've had the bike for two months. I've put about 1,500 miles on it so far and really like the bike a lot. I'm a short guy with a short inseam (28 inches), so there are a few things I want to modify, especially the length of the sidestand. It seems like a long way from the bike being sidestand to vertical, especially when loaded. Overall, though, I'm really enjoying this bike. I've been riding on the street for about 33 years and really like the versatility of the Super Ten. My other bike is a KTM 690 Duke, which is my canyon/track bike, but is pretty much a one trick pony. I look forward to learning from all of you about the Super Ten and all the great things it can do.

Welcome aboard. ::26::
Have you lowered the bike at all? Links and fork/triple clamp... That would effectively 'lengthen' the side stand. I got my side stand lengthened a while back, asked Tabasco on the forum here if he could weld in a spacer.

Thanks, all for the welcomes! To answer your questions, no I haven't lowered the bike yet. I lowered my old DR650 and it really dorked up the handling. That experience makes me very reluctant to lower the Super Ten. Ride on adv makes a sidestand plate that's about 5/16" thick. I'll try that first to see if it makes getting the bike off the sidestand easier for my vertically challenged self.

As for location, I'm down around Santa Maria. Lots of great riding in Foxen Canyon, Figueroa Mountain, and wine country. I lived in Omaha for the last four years, so anything above 50 degrees in January is like heaven. ;D
